The damn thing is advertised on UK TV several times a day. The only other video games that get that much exposure are online poker and online bingo.

Bleh I got really far and then my phone broke.. got a new phone of course didn't have it backed up on facebook, thought hey thatll never happen again got far AGAIN and my phone went into recovery mode and went back into factory settings FML I said fuck it im a better human without it lol.

No, I have not, nor do I intend to. It has always struck me as a Pay-To-Win version of Bejeweled (which I still play on a semi-regular basis). The fact that nearly every ad that pops on my iPhone JUST HAPPENS to be for Candy Crush doesn't help the matter that much.

Incoming informative yet defensive post, tl:dr if you must. I think that Candy Crush is a legit game just like all the other Bejeweled clones and surely has its own small changes to the formula. Since I am a gamer, I don't do the wrong habit of hating on it just because its a new fad, some puzzle games are actually great. Still, my problem with Bejeweled-like games is that they are mostly luck based. You can only swap pieces when its a successful move and can't touch the other pieces. This makes for a more user-friendly game but ultimately a more restricted game.
This is why I prefer Tetris Attack-like games to Bejeweled since you can swap any pieces you want to where you want and it is a MUCH faster and competitive game, complete with versus mode. Instead of waiting for the game to give you something to work with, you're given nothing and is forced to create combos yourself. This and Pokemon Puzzle League still gets play time from me.

Yup, I play it, not ashamed to admit it either. I do think there is a difference between playing the game, and having spent money on the game. I could never spend money on the game.

I remember bejewled was a shit free game on my old flip phone and was meh now for some reason candy crush is soo addicting ?? I dont get it.... sone of my guy friends play that shit when im kicking it with them and I just talk shit about how they're faggots and to get off the phone and hangout or go the fuck back to their house

No. The only thing I've ever played on Facebook was Farmville, and that was ages ago. I've never understood the appeal of Facebook games and gaming fads. Not that I judge anyone who does - I know loads of people who do.
