Asthma is one of the most common illnesses worldwide, there is no cure as such, however preventatives can be taken to reduce the chances of through an asthma attack. If you are working in a workplace, try and open a windowpane or make sure the room is actually well ventilated, also be sure you carry a puffer on you all the time.

There are lots of quick-relief medications that can be taken to alleviate asthma symptoms and even bronchial asthma attacks. Many asthma medicines can be administered orally or even by inhalation. Metered-dose inhalers (MDIs) are the most favored method, but dry natural powder inhalers are becoming popular.

  • Not asthma, but a similar breathing problem. Since I was a baby I suffered from allergies. When I say allergies, I mean hayfever that affects my sinuses, respiratory system and skin. Its all connected with me. Dust, smoke, grass, pollen, basically every season except autumn and pet hair make it difficult for me to breathe, give me itching burning running eyes and nose and sneezing fits, and ridiculous eczema. I've been using cortisone creams long term for over a decade. The doctors assumed it was some kind of child hood allergy and here I am, at 19, still suffering from this shit. My chest gets really tight, sore and itchy when I'm around cigarette smoke, pet hair, or any of that other stuff I mentioned above. I tried using an inhaler and it doesn't work. Believe it or not, cortisone nasal spray helps my breathing, sinuses and eczema to clear up completely. Unfortunately its prescription only and extremely expensive and one bottle lasts one month. Sucks to have allergies.
