Do you only do things if it's something in it for you?

Learning the skill to listen takes a long time, when being observant you can feel and tell if there is no benefit to you, being straight to the point asserts your dominance and let's people know you are not the one.

I think most of us are selfish. We do something for someone "and let it be known" Or think I wonder "I wonder "what do they think of me now" So I decided to do it unknown to anyone. It diminishes the good you have done if it's public "Just the way I feel about good deeds" So I can't vote.

Hmm I tend to do things if it helps others whether I reap benefits or not. Maybe i'm a sucker or maybe I'm nice... who knows. There does come a point that I say no though in toxic or just certain situations where I'm being made a doormat (haha sometimes... I guess I need to work on say no more, but I say it way more than I used to and I don't want to say it most of the time just in bad situations).
