Do you make small-talk with your hairdresser

only small talk, my barbers are pathetic losers so i don't really like having conversations with them :/

They usually talk to me so yes.

My hair dressers are usually very friendly and it's always nice to have someone to talk to while you're getting your hair done.

I hate the hairdresses small talk. I always just go really stoned to my haircust so they can tell by the look of me tht i cant be fucked talking to them about shit haha

Depends on the hairdresser. The person I go to now is nice and laidback. She's not a big talker and I like that.

I'm going to school for cosmetology, but I'm not a people person so small talk is dufficult but its part of the job -___-

My neighbor owns and runs a salon up the street, and I go there because I know and trust her. And yes, we do chat while she's working on my hair.

I do what Elaine does in Seinfeld when she rides a cab: I pretend I'm deaf. I do that to cabdrivers, busdrivers(when it's the last one and I'm alone), my hairdresser,... I've tried it with my girlfriend once but that, obviously, didn't work out too well.

I hate people talking behind my back !!!.. so I don't go anymore. I found myself trying to lie(purely out of boredom) when being asked the same old questions "have you been on your holidays" or "going out somewhere special tonight" and so on. I have a friend who does the job in a few minutes and likes a drop of vino afterwards. I don't know why it took the hairdresser close on an hour to cut a straight line around a bobbed haircut.

My mom IS my hairdresser. Not because I'm a loser that gets my mom to cut my hair, but she's a hairdresser so it's all good :)

I talk to them because I figure that if they like me they may try harder, LOL.

I never converse with my hairdressers, I just want to get in and out as quickly as possible, and besides I tain't that great at trying to make small talk.

Yes usually, but I'd really prefer not to. The only reason I talk to the hairdresser because she won't shut up.

I really don't like to talk unless i really have something important to say.

I hate going because of the pressure to talk. I used to go once a year but not even that much now.

Since it's a once a year occurence for me, I can usually find something to talk about. I usually go to the training school for a local eco-friendly day spa. They give you a scalp and hand massage with your $25 hair cut. Although this year I may try the place that gives you free beer so I'm sure there will be chatting involved.
