Do you like the town you live in?

Honestly I can't stand my town anymore. It's full of people who are full of themselves and someone is always getting shot or robbed here. I'd leave, but there's are two major factors holding me back right now, so I'm stuck here for the time being.

Anyway, do you like the place you live in?

Somehow, its a shithole, high in crime and it's not a nice place to live, it's also right next to a place often voted as one of the worst places to live in England,

The way I described it on a post before is like a three legged dog that constantly shits itself, you wake up to find a big pile of shit on the floor but then it looks up at you and stumbles and you can't help but forgive it for it's crooked charm

    Oslo, Norway.
It's great here but just very expensive.
If I could move, I would go live in New Zealand

I used to love my hometown, Brentwood. But now I see that it's nothing but pure garbage. The people here are, food stamp hogging, carless reproducing thieves and the streets are full of homeless people and drug addicts that will take a swing at you just because you don't have any money to give them. Nobody here respects your privacy and everyone acts entitled to everything. There's nothing beautiful or fun about this place. I want to leave, but I stupidly co-signed for a home back in 2008, so now I'm stuck here paying off a mortgage. If I could I'd live in a different part of New York, a different state, or even a different country.

I must drive past you a couple times a year when I'm on the LIE. Next time I'll wave.

I don't take the LIE to get to places so don't go waving to anybody or they'll probably hang you upside down, drain all your kidney fluids and inject artificially flavored banana taffy in it's place.

Yep. They all just love their banana taffy especially when it's stuffed into their Thanksgiving ham. However, since there's no ham, they have to make due with human flesh.

I live in Pune in India which is near Mumbai n its awesome! Granted I'm easily pleased but still weather, people, job opportunities, Beautiful greenery n all make it quite a livable place. Also my place was voted 2nd best place to live in India after Bangalore so yea, I love my place. I believe that we can really evolve only if we live where our heart is.

No . I hate this town . I'm not from here but I've been living here for several months . It Isn't too far from the city I had always lived and grew up In but my hometown city Is so much different from the current city I'm living In . I had always known how ratchet and ghetto and bad this city was growing up and I have always despised of It , ( The only reason I am living here now -- which Is temporarily-- Is due to complicated circumstances) There Is crime everywhere . The city Is dirty , and broke , and It totally raises my anxiety levels and Everyday I am pissed and annoyed That I am surrounded by It .

I can't say I do. There isn't an entertainment district and people my age are anywhere but here. Well, there are retail employees [my age] who work in the neighboring stores, yet I can't bother myself to talk with them. The last time I talked with a female employee it didn't end well.

Everyone drives like an asshole. Just an observation, but I see more Asians than anyone else. 'El Centro' (downtown) is dangerous. I go there from time to time so I can hang out in the library. I don't like the people who loiter around there. Job prospects are very low; I really should invest more time in finding another job or move to another state. The premium outlets make it stand out, but I don't feel it's a redeeming value for my hometown. Despite all this, I really like the sunny weather at the moment.

I don't live in a horrible area. The people are nice. I don't have to worry about a lot of crime. The thing is I'm kinda sick of the shitty weather in the winters. Been dealing with the snow and cold my entire life. I wouldn't mind a change of scenery for awhile. I'd like to know what it feels like to live where the sun shines down and it's always around, like California. If I leave, I would definitely wanna come back at some point though.

I currently live in a small country town in far North Queensland in Straya. Have lived here for almost 6 years and about to move back to Sydney where I lived before.

I have loved living up here as the people who live up here are much more friendly than Sydneyites (who can be a bunch of cunts) however I have a lot of reasons to move back to Sydney.

At least down in Sydney we have public transport which is not available up here and if you don't have a drivers licence it can be a real bummer.

As well there was an Edwardian mansion for sale with private walled in grounds, 12 bedrooms and seperate servant quarters and kitchen, that was for sale for about 350,000 which isn't a lot when you think about what you are getting.

We absolutely love the place we are right now. Great little tiny village (3 streets) a bunch of nice restaurants, a wonderful walkway alongside the sea and shopping is but yards from the dinghy dock.
But each place we go has it's good and not so good features, so we enjoy the good and then move on.

Love it I live in a bubble. It's great. People are friendly, and the food is good.

Although it is changing. Damn gentrification. Soon I will be pushed out of the inner city because of rising housing costs. And oddly, crime is going up as they build fancy condos that no one who currently lives here can actually afford.

But I do love it. I guess it just means that it is time to move on. I want to live in a rural area again anyway.

  • I don't mind where I live, hour from Philly and NYC. Beach is also an hour away, my job is 20 mins away. I wouldn't mind living in a more rural area, but nothing to do in a place like that.

Yeah. Beach is 5 mins away, plenty of places to eat and stuff, nyc is like an hour from here. I like it, but lately I have such an urge to drop my shit and go somewhere else, like out of state, out of the country even. I want to meet new people. I literally have like 1 friend right now, who I don't even really feel connected to. My bf was my bestfriend and well shit fuck. I like my town.
