All that mainstream bull crap has no emotion, no power; hell, it shouldn't even be considered MUSIC. It's just a catchy melody and tune that will brainwash the masses just for their monetary gain. It's just more proof that anyone can get famous these days.

All the great music that's not mainstream is still out there, plus all the music that was written in past years. We're actually really lucky. We've got more music to choose from than anyone else in history.

It beggars belief that most of us trust others to tell us what we should be listening to. Especially when those others are people who run talent shows or record labels. The kind of people who get rich if you believe them.

Eh, I like stuff like... Nightwish. And Within Temptation. And Epica. The stuff that stupid Americans don't know about ._.

all mainstream music sucks ass i mainly listen a lot of underground music (metal) i just find annoying that all these shitty artist like lady gaga and that faggot justin bieber make their song just for the money instead of caring about the music also the radio pretty plays their songs over and over again real music is underground were the bands/artist actually cares about their music and fans

It's OK.

I don't mind mainstream music.. but it is starting to annoy me... especially artists that use auto-tune >:O

i hate hip hop and techno music
bieber is crap, lady gaga too, and everything is shit
but there are still few good bands between all that crap

I don't HATE mainstream music... some of the songs are actually quite good, however I don't like some of the artists.

I dont like most of the mainstream music, although some of the new rock is pretty good, Like Shinedown, But I dont think theyre mainstrem

i hate it. the annoying thing is, its on the radio, and sometimes people put it on in the car or wherever and i get songs stuck in my head, meaning i have some utter horsecrap on my ipod

Lady Gaga's ok but everything else is kind of horrible. More indy bands/artists are still good though.

It's not just "these days", there has always been shitty mainstream music, deal with it.

Only one i like from the time now, is renard and daft punk. Im a techno freaky.

It depends on who it is and where you hear them. For example, Tinie Tempah's "Pass Out" is astounding when played full-blast in a crowded room. It's just a wall of bass hitting you. BEP's "I Gotta Feeling" sounds brilliant when around your friends, on a night out, etc.

In private though I'd rather listen to the Pixies or Screeching Weasel or sumthin.
