Do you like something you dislike, just because of nostalgia?

Something you instinctively don't like, but instead start liking it just because of its nostalgic significance. Is there anything like that you can think of?

A certain food, song, place, thing, sound, smell, sensation, activity, ,experience, sight, feeling... that, based on your natural personality, you wouldn't have liked. But you are fond of it just because of the memories it has attached to it.

eg. Blake doesnt like the taste of celery but likes eating it because it reminds him of his childhood.

Feel free to comment on what those things are as I'd like to know.

    for me it is cheese. i really dont like taste of it, yet i still buy it and eat it, cause it reminds me of living at parents with brothers and sisters while we were kids.

    I hate last resort by papa roach but I like to hear it because it reminds me of my childhood

      I don't like their music at all. But I went to high school with Jacoby so I do feel a bit nostalgic when I hear mention of them.

        Ah that's pretty cool, what was he like back then or was he just another face? There are so many people I remember from school who are now just faces in the crowd

          He was a different year but we were both band geeks so I vaguely knew him. I remember him being kind of a class clown. Most people liked him, he was fun and friendly.

          I do have a vivid memory of him being really animated during a song that called for a dozen or so percussionists. It wasn't his normal instrument but he made the piece really fun to play.

    Gypsy moths, flinstone vitamins, peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwiches, and the smell of grotty lake water mid-summer.

    Yes some type of vitamin. It's orange and taste fake and unusual. Oh those were the days.
