Do you like netflix?

I love Netflix, it's super cheap and has a ton of options. Sure, it doesn't have every movie in the world, but it still a great value IMO. What do you guys think?

Yes, it's awesome! 51

I don't have a TV connection so Netflix is my main source of tv entertainment. I stream it through a Wii. I find there is plenty of choices even if it isn't the newest stuff out there. I no longer have DVDs delivered because I don't have that much time to devote to watching movies and shows.

  • I love netflix because they have an endless variety of documentaries about WW2. I am obsessed with anything to do with that.

lol that reminds me I used to be obsessed with WW2 as well I even wrote an enthusiastic essay about the Holocaust in like 4th grade...that was before I realized just how horrible that war was ;/

      • Yes it was a horrible war. But at the same time I am so fascinated by it. It really is quite mind blowing. I initially got into it because my grandfather served and went over there and all the stories he told me got me hooked when I was yiunger. He passed away and I found myself diving into it more and more and before it knew it I became obsessed. I think I've watched all the docs fifty times over and I never get sick of them. The american hero's channel also always has a ton of shows on about it as well.

What I find interesting about it was that it was really the first and last all-out global war with conflicts being waged all across the globe. There were the Nazis advocating a morally repugnant dogma, there was racial, ethnic, and religious persecution, there was the Holocaust, deeply disturbing human experiments being carried out by both the Germans and Japanese, forced rapes of local women (sometimes as young as 14 years old) in every country whose army got defeated, internment camps in our very own United States where Japanese Americans were segregated into because their loyalties were said to be in question, the remarkable power of different countries cooperating and collaborating with each other to topple fascist regimes, women being employed like never before in steel mills and factories making ammunition and supplies for soldiers, and of course the developments in weapons and technology. And it brought forth a terribly destructive weapon called the nuclear bomb that could decimate entire cities in the blink of an eye and cause devastating effects in the aftermath of radiation exposure. It was a war that had truly momentous repercussions in the fields of society and culture, technology, politics, and the course of human civilization as we know it. There will never be another war on such a grand scale as WW2. It was the war that effectively ushered in the modern era.

I canceled my Dish TV, paid their exuberant fines, and switched to Netflix. I will never go back to satellite TV.

I got the free month trial a couple of months ago, and liked it. The selection isn't the best, but it was certainly enough to keep me occupied for a month. I could probably stay occupied for a few more months, too. Main problem for me was that for the last week I wasn't able to watch certain films because the video would play really slowly while the dialogue was perfectly fine.

I'm trying LoveFilm on my Kindle right now. I only used it to watch a few films and an episode of Black Adder and a Bit of Fry and Laurie. So, some good stuff on there too. Haven't really been back, though. I preferred Netflix.
