Do you like knight designs/characters/personalities?

Me personally, I LOVE Knight Designs/Characters/Personalities. They're just so awesome with the armor, oath of loyalty, sense of justice, warrior ethics and etc. Anyone else feel the same way?

  • I love the idea of the Knights but they were nothing like what pop culture paints them to be.

In reality the knight was nothing more than a hired gun used to terrorize peasants. It was never chivalry or codes that guided their action.

  • I always liked Vikings better. It's too bad they're not around anymore, I can just see them turning over cars and setting them on fire.

Although the spartan society was fascinating, paederasty was more than likely common which is actually ironic because during the film King leonidus states that the athenians are a bunch of boy lovers.

I'm not that interested in them. I'm more into the ancient Greek time. Especially the Spartans. "With it or on it". Which means come back with your shield (signifying a victory) or on it (signifying a death- when they died, they were carried back on their shields). It basically means be glorious and fight- don't be a coward. Yes, I am referring to the battle of Thermopylae, or as most people know it as 300. Some parts in the movie may be exaggerated or fictional, but the event did happen. Although the Persians won, the Spartans had more Glory.

My favorite quote from battle is:

"Good. Then we will fight in the shade."~ Dienekes (after a Persian told him that they had so many arrows, that it would block out the sun. It is also said in the movie, but it wasn't said by him, since his character wasn't in the movie. It was said by the captain, Artemis).

Of course, I can't say ALL of them had good morals
