Do you like it when strangers friend you on facebook.com? iin?

Yesterday I had someone who I absolutely did not know friend me on Facebook. Isn't that weird when that happens? Do you like it or does it kind of creep you out? I'll be honest it really gives me a bad case of the crawls. The reason being is I've heard stories of people that have been robed, stalked and even killed by strangers from Facebook. I can't confirm if those stories are true or not but it'll give you a good scare. What are your thoughts, also how do you feel about unfriending deceased people on Facebook? I always feel bad if I do, but if I don't I'll still feel just as odd.

    I accepted a friend request from a stranger on a different continent. We have the same name. What the hell? I thought it might be fun.

    Big mistake. He 'approached' all my female FB friends with, er, suggestions. I was so embarrassed, and lucky not to lose any true friends over the whole business.

    Not done that again.

    If I don't know the person, I don't accept their friend request.
    I have no problem with removing deceased people from my friends list due to the fact that they're useless if I can no longer talk to them.

    Every time someone I don't know tries to friend me on Facebook I feel like they are watching me from a near by bush or something watching me hit deny. It's so creepy an weird.

    I'd only accept if they had a particularly good reason to add me and that was explained in a fb message.

    Otherwise it would unsettle me, I'd want to know what exactly compelled them to add me, but also how they found me in the first place, especially if we had no mutual friends.

    Well it depends. I usually go by the picture and the character. If you have common friends, or similar interests I will friend you. If you are too old I will not friend you. If you are a dedicated character like I often am myself I will friend you most defiantly. Like if you go on and are posing as "House" from tv "The-Doctor" from doctor-who.

    I don't have a Facebook but if I did I certainly wouldn't accept friend requests from strangers. Is there some way you can prevent them from going through your personal information even though they friended you?

    Well I actually got few friends on FB and I could care less about people adding me on it... Unless I don't talk to that person in real life or have the urge to communicate with them over the internet I just don't accept them...

    I happened to delete 1/3 of my FB-Friends because of those reasons...
