Do you like it when the OP talks back?
I don't mean "talk back" with an attitude. I mean reply. Or, maybe you like it when the OP gets all defensive and refuses to take rational advice from strangers. Talk about that if you like.
But my question, do you like it when the OP replies to your comment?
Is it normal for the OP to reply to every comment?

Yeah, it's sweet, nice to know if I have helped them or at least got their interest
I just dislike when they post anonymous
and there's no real reason like not about anything personal or to be embarrassed about. Call it a pet peeve
I personally think responding anonymously fits the very purpose of the site. Your name isn't shown with a story and I'm sure someone wouldn't want to be identified with a revealing story simply because they decided to respond with their name showing. The dislike for anonymous seems based solely on curiosity and not exactly why someone might hide their name.
It's quite simple. People reply differently to anonymous than they do to a specific username. Usually they are more honest and play fewer games.
I LOVE it when the OP replies! It's fantastic! If all the OP's did this, I think the site would be more interesting- it could be anything, from a thank you for the advice to a request for clarification to a healthy debate to a HILARIOUSLY belligerent crazy ass OP...it's all good stuff.

Although occasionally I get an idea of who it is but quite often I start to think and anonymous op is really cool and want to know who they are
Yes, definitely. The best ideas are generated by combining discussion with competent critical thinking, but it's more than that: this is a social community, not a bunch of individuals in bubbles.

They're practically asking for your advice, I like a nice reply even if it's polite criticism, if they just attack me then why ask in the first place, people have different opinions.
Meh. Neutral. I personally never bother because I don't have much to say. Sometimes I want to criticise what someone's replied but then I think it's good to have other opinions (even if it's something like 'you're a [insult] fuck you') and I'm generally grateful anyone took the time to reply.
Yes and no. I think sometimes it can lead to long discussions that can flood a large amount of the comment section. I like that they respond, however I think there should be some sort of way to minimize the responses to people in the comment section, say like they have to click on something to view the response on the comment section rather than having it out in the open.
But in terms of just having the OP respond? Sure, it's alright. Wouldn't say I have any positive of negative views on it, but I think having the option is cool.
