        Alphonse Elric. I had the biggest fan-girl crush on him for years. I even saved up money to buy an Alphonse Doll on ebay (which, back before I understood online commerce, cost me a fortune because I didn't understand shipping costs and things like that), and I quite literally snuggled it every night for 4 years, after which it completely fell to pieces and I got tired of having to keep track of it's body parts.

        He was my wallpaper on my computer, I downloaded his image songs and even learned all of the lyrics in English and Japanese, oh boy, I had it bad.

        And then Envy. I still consider the possibility of playing Envy as cosplay. I wasn't crushing on him like I was Alphonse but I loved the way his character was engineered. He was collected and smooth talking, articulated and in control one minute and a complete monster the next. Out of all of the humonculus (sp?), he was the most "human" in my opinion and the irony was that at the same time, he had the greatest hatred for humans and he tried so hard to separate himself from all sense of humanity. He was very human and at the same time, not.

        I appreciate how multi-dimensional the characters were in FMA.

          I think my favorite characters are Edward and Alphonse. Then there's Roy. I like him a lot too. ^__^

    Well ok I didn't actually watch it frequently enough to realize when they switched between the two. However I did see a few episodes redone in brotherhood that they had in the original series. Which seemed to come off more light hearted in Brotherhood than it did in the original version of this episode. Either way the material is all pretty much the same and you are getting the same story. So I think I could watch either interchangeable. I did not see much of a notable difference between the two of them.

    I did not realize they were different. They do so many flashbacks it is hard to tell. However from what I have seen in brotherhood it is really goofy.

    I like them both but FMA Brotherhood, well, I've watched the whole series three times, and Ive only watched the first once.
