Do you know anyone who has been on tv?

With all the game shows, talk shows and reality shows, each having several guests per day, some of which have been running for decades....you'd think most people would know at least one person who has been on a TV show! But....I don't, and I don't know of anyone who does!

Do you??

Studio audiences, live televised events, news broadcasts-anything like that where you're just in the background of a broadcast don't count!! Only guests or contestants on a network or cable TV station!! And it can't be some guy who you think may have dated your cousin or was your neighbor when you were 3 or something, either. It has to be someone you know, someone who's family, friend, close co-worker, etc. Someone who you know, and who knows you back.

    Me. My Dad went on TV when I was a little kid because he's a legend at the Rubik's Cube, and they let me on for the "cute kid factor".

    My parents tried to get on that newly wed game show back in the day...but my dad answered a question wrong and they weren't put through to enter -_-'....what a loser...lol

    Met the cowriter to the movie goodfellas - Nick pileggi. He is very very tall. Enormous and looks like an ex bouncer, but is an absolute gentleman and kind of soft spoken and sweet.

    A guy I've known and went to school with for a long time was recently on espn for college football. he plays for kansas state. (we all just graduated class of 2011)

    Knew a girl who's father was on a late night talk show back in the 50s or 60s.

    I myself was on a local Saturday morning kid's show once.

    I know loads of people who have been on TV as presenters, actors, musicians, etc. Has never done me any good though!

    I've meet a few famous people idk if that counts :/ I meet gene simmons once at my moms job and zac efron lol. I've met Jason Mamoa from the new conan movie and my family knows Ice cube but i've never met him, so i guess it doesnt count

    Chris Zylka, i know him, he's from here...he's been in quite a few shows & movies now. & i met Galen Gering! haha he use to star on the soap "Passions" and he's about to star in some new show premiering too

    My cousin is an actress who has been in several movies/TV shows. My mother as well. And I dated a guy in the band Allstar Weekened, which are starting to get pretty famous now, so I know them pretty well. That's about it.

    My boss paid his way through school by going on game shows.

    A college friend was on Jerry Springer.

    And a close friend made national news when a policeman pepper sprayed him during a peaceful protest.

    A couple of near misses according to the parameters of your question. I've been on TV but only as part of a group. Me and my best mate from school can clearly be seen jostling each other vigorously while supposed to be singing Christmas carols.

    A neighbour's granddaughter was a sort of hostess of a TV show that still runs here. A friend's neighbour has a few acting roles on British TV. A lad from school played a villain in a national soap opera. A colleague's brother played a part in the same soap and it transpired that he got beaten to death by the lad I was at school with. Another colleague's daughter was in the soap too. Oh, and I work with someone who is on TV all the time because he's a famous physicist and also a semi-famous musician.

            I'm surprised you knew him, actually. He's not really famous outside the UK. I see him wandering around campus and he's always friendly and will have a chat. He's the same in person as he is on TV. Really nice bloke!

              Yeah I live in England, a lot of people know of him here at least. And yes he seems like a great guy. He really brings physics to life and he's almost _too_ passionate about it.

    I was thinking of doing a poll like this the other day. You beat me! My brother has been in a studio audience, also, he and his wife were on the news recently, and upcoming, a show that I'm afraid to see. My bro, his wife, her parents and my parents. I'm scared. Very scared.
