Do you know anyone who acts like this?

I have a adopted older brother, and he has been like this since I can remember.

He always has a blank expression on his face, and if you look into his eyes they are just blank. No emotions or anything. He never expresses joy, anger, sadness. Not even if he hurts himself. I've seen him accidently cut his finger really bad and he didn't even change his expression even when he had to get stiches. When our dad and grandma died, he didn't cry he still had that blank look.

My mom has sent him to therapists and docters but they can't find anything wrong with him. She also had to start homeschooling him because he woulden't communicate. He's not quiet though, he talks to me all the time but it's always in a montone voice. He will also comfort me if I am sad or crying. I noticed I'm really the only one he will communicate with. So that's why I think he really does feel things or else why would he feel the need to make me feel better when i'm sad?

I've googled it and everything but I can't find anything, and I am not comfortable with asking him about it.

Do you know anyone else who acts like this? Or is it just some kind of defence mechanism for him? I need opinions on this.

In terms of the eyes, I've heard that psychopaths don't have emotions in their eyes... That's possibility no. 1.

    2. It could be again be neurologically related. Has he ever seen a neurologist?

    3. This could be a bit of a stretch but, he could have been abused. I got abused as a child (verbally, sexually, emotionally, mentally and occasionally physically.). Consequently, it has caused some emotionally/personality issues for me. Some of the most common complaints are/have been: that I am incapable of loving, that I'm too damn serious, that I am an cold bitch, that I'm cruel and emotionally rigid. Most of these are untrue. I can be caring and loving towards people I care about. However, it sometimes takes awhile for me to trust people and let my guard down.
