Do you keep clothes that don't fit anymore?

I have a problem with weight fluctuations, I've been from size 4 to size 16 and never want to throw out my clothes that no longer fit , just in case. I also buy clothes that don't quite fit for when I lose 5 lbs. anybody else do this? I'm afraid I may be developing hoarder tendencies I have a shirt from high school and a ton of stuff I've never worn.

If I gain weight I will keep only a few clothes some of my favorites.
you should donate ones that u dont like anymore and keep ones that are only your favorite. This might help you to not hoard too many.

    • Most men I know don't change weight that much once they are adults, my boyfriend can wear his school stuff. I think women tend to vary a LOT more than guys. It aint fair!

  • I've noticed girls do this a lot. They keep their skinny clothes for when they are skinny again, but when they lose weight, they are quick to throw away their fat clothes.

After I lost weight, I just gave most of my jeans to my sister and my shirts to my mother.

i am facing this dilemma. or is it one now? i have sizes 0 to 16. I have gone up and down the scale for years. once i went from a 0-16 within a short time. the last time i was a 16 was about 2011. now, i'm about a 9, but clothes vary so much in how they're sewn so it's frustrating.
anyhow, i'm wearing long flowing skirts now more, cause I can wear a flowy top over it to cover my stomach that gets water retention. i struggle with edema so it makes it hard.
i can't sit down with some jeans without it hurting.
anyhow, yeah, my closet is overwhelming, depressing and frightening. i have an eating disorder though that started when i was 10, that started with just watching what i eat, to obsessing over calories and exercise (some would call me anorexic) to binge eating disorder, a form of bulimia, back to restricting, ect. so i guess i have part bulimia and part ednos. anyhow, yeah. thank you for letting me share.

I don't have a problem with weight fluctuations, except when my bloating bowels go down after taking a bowel movement. My body is growing taller. I have kept and still where pants that I am increasingly outgrowing. I know, I know, I need new pants. I worry that I might outgrow the new soon and waste money. Anyway, there is nothing more uncomfortable than wearing something high watered or tight. I bend down, the opening in the legs are high watered and the knees are so tight and strained.
