Do you judge people who wear hoodies when it's hot?

I feel so much more comfortable with a hoodie. I don't know why. Even during the summer I usually just put a thin zip up on and push up the sleeves. I still feel fine and cool in it.

I wear one often too. I can't tolerate air conditioning, I don't carry a purse so the pockets come in handy and it keeps the sun off. And if I'm out all day and it starts raining or gets chilly then I'm prepared. I'd rather have it than not and I don't give a shit what anybody thinks.

I love wearing warm clothes in hot weather, too ;-)

Yeah, I think you're one of those guys who's always cold and must always raise the thermostat up to unmentionable levels.

I do judge hot weather hoodie wearers.

When I see a guy wearing a hoodie in hot weather I wonder why is he hiding, what's he up to?

I wear a hoodie 'cause of my hairy arms. I'm overly paranoid about it. I'm learning to accept my body more, so hopefully soon I'll have the courage to stop wearing one. It's very hot. :/

I don't judge because I've done this before except mine were usually sleeveless or fishnet hoodies.

No. I do this but it's because I am anemic and get cold easily. I don't judge people very often. I basically assume that there is an underlying reason to most behavior.

  • Yeah, I'm guilty of this. When people wear hoodies inside or in raging hot days I usually just think to myself, "Oh my God! You're so cool! A hoodie inside or when it's not necessary!? Oh my God, can I be you, you amazing person!" in mockery.

I think that sometimes people will do it because it's comfortable but I think most of the time they do it to have this whole tough guy look, which fails to do on so many levels.

No, because I used to do that before I lost weight, didn't leave the house without it and sometimes I still feel like doing it

Afraid I'll have to say yes, because it makes you look suspicious, especially in the summer. You probably have some variant of social phobia and subconsciously feel the need to hide (protect) yourself from the outside world. Many people do. No big deal. You should try to replace that with something less conspicuous.

    • Suspicious of what? It's a thin hoodie that's not zipped up, it's not like I could hide anything in it.

If that works well for you, keep wearing it. Just keep in mind how others might perceive you. I too used to wear a baseball type of hat years ago and realized after some time that I can't live without it. Guess I liked the pressure on my head. But now I don't anymore.

You're telling a person possibly with social phobia and self esteem issues based on the perception of others to keep in mind how others might percieve him/her, when in actual truth, most people tend to be so busy in their own mind, own problems and life that they couldn't care if someone's wearing a hoodie

we all judge others subconsciously if not consciously. it is important to know what others think of us. we exist in relation to each other. it's a science fact. we do from the way we dress, to the way we speak and walk etc.

And what is the best way to make an impression? Confidence, being confident in being yourself not insecure about how others feel,

And in various studies observing things like how others percieve us the participants always over best mated how much focus was on then and how much other people noticed them, I could dog them out
