Do you judge

Do you look at someone differently by what they are wearing? Do you smile at someone in a suit, but give a look of disgust if they have worn/ cheap clothing on?

  • Yes, we all judge people on how they present themselves, be it their clothing, how they talk/what they say, how they smell, and so on.

Do you think.its polite to make judgment on someone if they can't afford brand name clothing?

      • I don't get why judgement is always seen as a negative thing. For example, you just showed you would judge someone who isn't wearing a brand name as someone who isn't because they can't afford it rather than not liking branded clothing, which I myself fall under, I hate branded clothing.

People just assume judging someone is always judging someone unfairly rather than making a judgement that you assume to be true not out of spite but due to a little social interaction analysis.

Agreed. Literally everybody judges all of the time. It's how we function - every decision is based on a judgement.

Some people seem to consider prejudgment inherently negative. But then I judge those people to be stupid.

            Right, disthing. I couldn't agree more.. ;)

First impressions - and ALL impressions - count more than we'd like to admit to ourselves. It's human nature.

They obviously didn't apply themselves in school if they can't afford to buy clothes.

I don't care how "down town" someone dresses, as long as the clothes are clean. As a matter of fact, I find a "suit and tie" to be a ludicrous bit of apparel and wholly unattractive on a man and absolutely hilarious on a woman. So yes, I do judge folks on how they dress, but not as most do, I suspect.

Hello again.why would you think a man in a suit&tie are ludicrous? That's a very bold remark.do you recent the white collar worker.does it bother you that they have more money than you?

I don't judge people based on their fashion choices unless; they are dressing like a thug or they are indecently exposing themselves.

People may say "i don't judge anyone ever" but thats not true. People naturally assume things and judge as soon as they see someone. You shouldn't be rude and dislike someone specifically because of what they wear though..

I'm confused. THis person didn't judge. They asked if you'd look down on someone for not wearing brand name.i totally understand the question. I don't look at anyone different by the shirt on their back

Am I the only one who doesn't care what people wear? I don't notice one way or the other. If someone came up to me nude on the street, I'd be a little surprised. Anything else though I don't feel like I'd notice.

I don't think too much about how people dress when I see them. All I do is look for any signs that this person may be a danger to me. I only see them, not their clothes. Call me paranoid, but I think it's just being aware of my surroundings. But that's not to say I don't notice clothes.

When I do notice people's clothing I don't judge their character, just how well they look in the clothes they chose to wear. And most the people I see wearing suits look sloppy!

Yes, I do judge and I know I shouldn't. But I don't judge according to how expensively one is dressed.

Fuck that. I laugh at people in suits. Silly men who have to abide by a dress code.

Today I saw a man in a suit greet two dye job blonds in skirt suit things and I thought they looked so ridiculous. And now they have to walk in those stupid heels, up a hill...hahaha.

Yes I judge people who wear expensive clothes that are uncomfortable. This is one of the most ridiculous things in the world to me.

I believe everyone judges however it's how you treat someone based off that judgment that matters.

I do at varying levels. I notice very few brands and am more likely to make guesses about your life by your overall presentation. Is it judging though? Because my view will change with any new information coming in and I literally referred to my judgments as "guesses" anyway.
