Do you have any broken teeth in your mouth?

Any broken teeth that you choose to just live with for whatever reason? Too afraid, can't afford to fix, it doesn't bother you, etc?

I don't have broken teeth but my mouth is a crazy place.. never had money for braces, or to fix my cavities or get a root canal thing.
I have bad teeth genes.. Haha. Both of my parents have dentures and have had them since 43ish..

I don't think thumbing it down is an asshole move and I couldn't care less. My teeth aren't sticking out of my mouth and I doubt you could even tell there is anything wrong even when I smile. It's quite normal.

  • Nope. But did you know that in Dumb & Dumber the tooth chip in Jim Carry's character is real?

If 7 out of 9 people have broken teeth, this is why more counties need cheaper or free healthcare. I don't have any, btw.

    • Yes, dental care is far too expensive!! It doesn't seem right that people have to live in pain or be embarrassed by their teeth simply because dental care is unaffordable!! I guess here in the US, dental care is seen as more of a "luxury" rather than a necessity. In my state, even the state Medicaid won't pay for things like root canals or partial dentures. You can only opt to have your teeth pulled, and get nothing to replace them.

Here in the UK, we can get quite a lot of dental care free on the taxpayer, or very cheaply. In the US, the Republicans would veto any tax increases though, so dental care and health care will never get subsidised in the US.

In my state Medicaid also won't pay for crowns but will pay to have the tooth pulled. They have some formula for how many teeth they actually feel are "necessary".

Yes most of my molars are fucked, and dentistry is like legal robbery so can't afford to do anything about it.

Yeah. My right front tooth and the one next to it are broken. I really wish I could fix them, but it's too expensive.

I chipped one of my front teeth twice on the same spot.

I have a very tiny, barely noticeable chip on one of my two front teeth. I've gotten it filled before but it always falls off. Now I simply don't care anymore.

  • Three of my front top teeth were slightly chipped. I was also missing a canine; an adult tooth never came to replace the baby tooth.

Had it all fixed a few years ago, now my teeth look perfect. It cost me about $6000CDN [$6054USD or 3841GBP] and that was with the best dental coverage available. It was the best money I've ever spent on myself and I wish that I had saved the money for it years sooner.

  • My wisdom teeth are wonky but they're right at the back of my mouth, so I don't really care about them XD

I lost a molar piece by piece over the last few years. It sucked. It was root canaled years ago, then one day the filling came loose, eventually came out, then, like I said, bit by bit it broke out. Not fun. Can't afford the dentist anymore.

  • One of my molars use to be chipped. Got it fixed because it kept scratching my tongue.

    Comment Hidden ( show )
  • Well I got a problem, the two bottom molars on each side are baby teeth. I never had adult teeth under them so I'm stuck with baby molars. So I consider them broken or a better word, flawed.
