Are stepparents really inherently wicked? Do you or someone you know have an evil stepparent? Get at me. Be honest.

I don't know if they are 'evil' as such. They just love their partners but don't necessarily love the children of their partner with another spouse. Anyway, the children usually make it blatantly obvious that they 'hate' this substitute for their real parent. Making it doubly hard to love the brat!

Very normal. I had a terrible step parent for years before my mum eventually kicked him out. Many people have the same problems - usually its them going off at you for the tiniest stupidest issues...
No, my stepmother is awesome. Apart from the bit where she started sleeping with my mother before my mother left my father, but that was years ago and mostly my mother's fault.

It's really not that interesting. My mother spent years pretending she wasn't a lesbian and married my dad and had kids with him, then she started sleeping with my stepmother without telling her she was married to a man or telling my father she was a lesbian, then eventually she divorced my father and married my stepmother.

Well,my friend nis has a stepdad and he seems pretty nice ! I've seen him before .
I think my dad is remarried I never tried to get close to him I hated or at least wanted him to think I hated him because of how he treated my mom she deserved so much better and it took her to long to find out. I know my mother still loves him and will never pick a new partner and my dads the kind of ass who remarries right when they seperate.. i think. I've heard from relatives that he remarried and its someone my age!! I'm 18 and the girls about 19. and I just cant help hate her but also feel sorry. I think shed be an evil step mom or..maybe thats what I want her to me because I know my moms a better person i wish shes evil I dont know it makes me feel relieved because I hate her so much she should be evil she'd diserve it. beause my dad is such a horrid person a evil wife is what he diserves... I dont know if shes evil but i hope she is.

I have stepparents, my step-mom is pretty awesome and my step-dad is pretty cool too i guess. They're both pretty crazy sometimes though.
Other: I have a step parent. When I was very young things were good. When I was a pre-teen and young teen things were VERY bad. Now that I am a young "adult" things are good again.
I had a stepfather for awhile. He was a pretty good stepfather until he started doing drugs more and more often. Eventually, the marriage as well as everything else fell apart. My mom deserves better anyway.
Yea, it's usually the kids being all assholes to the step parent, even when they're trying to be nice! I never really understood that and seems stupid.. and immature.
Kids often are immature...it's part of being a kid...ie still maturing. It's natural for kids to want their parents to stay together, and mostly when kids don't get what they want, they tend to act out. It's their way of showing that they're hurting.
I had two stepmums. Don't remember the first much, my mum informs me she was somewhat odd. My second stepmum has the same name as me, which is quite odd. She's lovely. I just wish she'd get some self respect and leave my arsehole of a father, she deserves much better.
