Do you hate your family because they are racist?

I'm not saying they're members of the KKK, but the little comments start to add up over time and you say to yourself "Is this the way EVERYBODY was in the 50's, or is it just MY lame family?"

    I come from an Italian family. For some reason, they don't like jewish people. Not all jews, but a majority of them. If we are out somewhere, and someone makes a mistake or pisses them off, the first response is "they must be jewish" or "friggin jew" ect. In result of always hearing this growing up, it slips out. If someone looks jewish and they piss me off, I throw out a jewish remark. I try not to do but I don't even think about it, just comes right out.

      I feel your pain. I grew up very similar. My family hates everyone. But the Jews hold a special place in their hearts. Let's face the facts.
      The Jews are the smartest, and they don't care who they step on to get to the top. This is why they win most of the time. Sometimes I wish I could be more like them. But still, little comments my family spew out piss me off. Maybe it's just negativity that I'm fed up with and not so much "racism."

    I come from a Filipino family, and anyone who from the Phillipines can say that their family as at least somewhat racist. They are unfeeling and uncaring when they make racist jokes. This bother me a lot and I almost hit my own mother for making too many racist jokes. But they are still my family so, you know, it just passes after a while.

    my family including my extended family our all racist especially against the blacks and I find that this has rubbed off on me, I mean they've even gone to lengths off cutting off a close cousin of mine because she has mixed babies.

    I don't hate my mother but I do particularly dislike her brand of racism because it's baseless. She talks about people coming over here, taking our jobs, raping our sisters, robbing our homes. But then when she's exposed to people of different races, she always gets along with them. I put it down to the newspaper she reads (a newspaper whose journalists I would string up by their balls), that she believes it because it's in print, and that people fear the unknown.

      You said it buddy! 'People fear the unknown.' I cant even look at the news for a second without getting pissed off. In the US, it's THE WORST. You see, a while ago, the TV stations realized they could get higher ratings by presenting the news similarly to movies. For some reason, people love drama.

      But back to the main subject.........

      Yeah, my dad hates jews, but his best friend is a Jew so.....what the fuck?
