They're not better than me. They are better at some things than me, but I don't find not being the best person in the world at everything in the world a source of depression. Just being good at something doesn't make them any better than me as a person, or any more valuable.

I get jealous but never to the point of hate. I say good for them and walk away.

no, except if they use what they are better at as an excuse to be an asshole and to look down at those who cant do what they can do.

its good to be great at something, just dont be a douche about it.

I don't hate or get jealous. It only motivates me to do even better than what I have previously done.

No jealousy is a terrible emotion and one I've tried to stave off for many years. Every stupid thing I've ever done is out of jealousy and I've regretted it.

Not hate, it's more like envy.

I just get a bit self concious around them

I may envy on occasion, but I do not hate someone based on any set of skills they may or may not have.
As for them vs. me- well I use their example as a learning or motivational tool.

Anyone who acts as though they're better gets bitch-slapped, however. Also, it dwindles their credibility in said skill.

  • I don't see anybody as better than me. I consider myself to be above all people, no matter who it is. I always treat everybody as an equal, but think of myself as above that "equality".

So it doesn't matter if you're black, white, rich, poor, smart, dumb, cool, nerdy, tall, short, fat, thin, mean, nice or anything else as everyone is the same moving rouge of colour.

When other people talk to me it is like watching a cartoon moving around infront of me, like watching a script. That's the only way I can explain it.

If it's in an area I'm striving to get better in, it only motivates me more, but it doesn't make me hate them or become jealous.

I don't hate it when people are better than me at something, it simply means that they have practiced more and have more experience than I do at it. The only things that I would care about though are fighting games and piano. In fighting games, I love when someone is better than me since I'm quite good myself so it provides a nice challenge. For pianist, its enjoyable to hear people who have been playing longer so that is also a joy even though there might be a tad bit of jealousy sometimes with that. I only despise those who are better and happen to have a huge ego about it.

No, not really. Most people do at least one thing better than me, anyway. As long as they aren't condescending in a malicious way, then I don't mind. I'm not the best person in the world, and I'm completely fine with that.:)

No but if they are a snob and tell you how worthless you must be since they accomplished all these things and you cant yeah its annoying. If they use the fact they accomplished these things to say that anything you say is worthless since they somehow think that means they know EVERYTHING yes.
