Do you hate high heels?

I absolutely HATE high heels. I'm a girl (19), and I find so many different kinds of shoes pointless in general. But yeah, most of all high heels.
Why the heck do women put up with such discomfort just to look good? Not that I think they look good, I think they look freakin' ridiculous and obviously they're very dangerous. I just don't get it.
I suppose heels 2 inches or less is fine by me though, I'm not sure if they're considered high heels.

I much prefer to wear trainers or boots (or Converse) outside, much more comfortable and practical, and they still look very nice, especially boots.

Anyway, do you hate high heels too? And why do you hate them?

    high heels makes you more prone to varicose veins, and its bad in terms of general body mechanics as well. if you want to look good in the long run, you ought to keep this in mind

    I'm right there with you. I hate shoes you can't comfortably walk a mile in, or sprint when necessary. Both my mother and grandmother have foot problems because they forced their feet into "fashionable" shoes. I also tend to roll my ankles so heels are dangerous for me. If I need to wear nice shoes, give me a pair of Mary Janes.

    I highly doubt I will ever wear heels again. I don't see the point. Hopefully one day they will be considered a strange fashion women followed once upon a time.

    You can't walk normally in high heels. I've tried and it's absurd. I realized culture is so strong it stops us from seeing that woman in heels actually look like they're handicapped. How can that be atractive...

    I like them, I love how they look and how they make the legs look. I don't wear them much due to impracticality but I enjoy them when appropriate. I have a few pairs that are perfectly comfortable. I especially like platform high heels, and they're usually quite comfortable.

    It's funny to watch women walking in high heels. They don't seem to be able to walk naturally in them. The movement is just so... Strange.

    I love the look of high heel but the pain is ugh. And also I'm the most clutsy person in the world so if I'm wearing high heels everyone has to stay a mile away from me at all times for there saftey! :P

    i'd say if i were really short, i'd miss wearing them but i don't.. I'm 5'5"

    I only wear high heels to SUPER important things. They aren't my favorite shoes. Not a all.

    High heels are nice to wear when you're only out for 5 hours or less. Any more and your feet will KILL!!! ;D

    I love high heels, that's all I ever wear when I leave the house and I've never felt any discomfort whatsoever.
