I only like to find out about the stupid spoiled ones that make Americans look bad (I'm mostly a weird news fan but Lohan suing E*Trade in desperate attempt for money is both sad and hilarious) otherwise I could care less about blah blah's new hair dew or gala gala's bad beach body.

I confess that I am guilty of enjoying celebrity news. Totally. Why? OMG, it is lightweight folly! I can zone my mind out. Bubblegum candy fun. Celebrities look way better than pale boring politicians that get their mugshots all over every other media site.

Celebrity news is a lucrative gig that isn't a ton of effort to manage. I am not joking. I do PR and net advertising contracts that seeks this content. We have people at my office that blog about celebrities and trends. They get paid to do this. It's a sweet job. The entertainment industry really does reel in billions. So, if you like lightweight Kim Kardashian nonsense? Don't knock this stuff too much. It makes a helluva lotta money. Its either celebrity news or the traditional depressing news our biased media dumps out (to basically net ad revenue too).

Eh, once in a while. Usually I don't care all that much, but occasionally if I'm standing on line at the grocery store I might pick up the people magazine.

  • I Do not not read news papers i only hear it through family if someone has died if i knew the person from the tv, or music. i personally could not give a crap who's dating who, if someone broke up, or what they do in there private life, or where they live or what their house looks like, people who reads the news paper to poke into someone else's life need to get a life of their own.

no. I don't get WHY people devote ALL their time trying to figure out WHO someone's dating, WHERE they live, WHAT they drive, WHO their friends are, WHO they like, etc, etc.. & it's mostly lil 11 & 12 year old freaks who just CANNOT get enough news. IF THEY WANTED PEOPLE TO KNOW THESE THINGS, THEY'D HAVE TOLD THE NEWS *

Then when they DO find out who (for example) justin bieber or whoever is dating, THEY ABSOLUTELY WANT TO KILL THE GIRL. it's SO immature & SO nosy. they'll soon learn what they don't know won't hurt them. i quit reading those magazines for tht very reazson. I DON'T CAREEE!!!!!! IF I FIND OUT, I FIND OUT B/C SOMEONE TELLS ME OR I SEE IT ON TV. I DON'T GO THRU MAGAZINES LOOKING FOR EVERY LITTLE DETAIL!

chances are, THEY'LL NEVER EVEN MEET THEM, SO WHY ARE THEY TRIPPIN OUT OVER IT!?!??! theres nothing they can do about it.

Sadly it's not really that hard to find out whom the celeb is dating either. There's a website dedicated to it.

I'll search once in a while for someone I know, and I love reading the stuff about them at cheezeburger but... beyond that, eh.

  • I don't get celebrity news. If you're a good actor/singer/whatever good for you, but I don't want to hear about your life, thank you

And there's nothing as irritaiting as a title to a magazine saying something like: "PRIVATE PICTURES FROM RIHANNA'S BIRTHDAY PARTY!!1!" If they are in a magazine, they're NOT private >.<

They're mostly just made to hide something else anyway. For an example will the fewest people come to know that there's fluoride (an ingredient for prozac) in much drinking water. But that doesn't matter, 'coz they'll get to know that Eminem has been fighting with his girlfriend for the 8375 time!
