Do you find toddlers and tiaras disturbing?

I decided to give the show the benefit of the doubt and watch an episode but it only disturbed me more. I don't think they need to be wearing so much makeup and spray tanning and wearing short skirts while doing provocative dances. Some of the older little girls act stuck up, it just amazes me. Not that all of them do that or wear those things but when they do it's creepy and I can only imagine that most of the people who watch the show are mothers and pedophiles.

    It's very disturbing. I've seen it from the soup and then I saw about 1 or 2 episodes and I find it too be very disturbing. These kids should be taken away from their parents and given to more loving people. I think these sort of pageants should be banned.

    Gave it a chance and I felt bad for the girls. It is a very disturbing show.

      This one girl cried the entire episode. Her mom was trying to make her practice for the pageant and take photos and put makeup on and she just threw a tantrum the whole time. Then when she was about to go on she started crying and her mom asked her if she didn't want to do it to make a decision quick or she'd decide. I still think she didn't want to do it. XD

      This other girl, they said, made over 100,000 for school for all the shows she won..so I guess that's cool.

        It's not "cool". It's child labour among other things. The kids are being exploited forced into this by the parents. Some of them even get Botox injections. These are things that children should never have to go through, but the more people watch it, the more "support" the show gets.

    very disturbing. It was covered in a documentary here, and i remember thinking "I am _SO_ glad this trend didn't come to europe...yet! Damn, i hope it stays that way...those poor kids"
