As a joke between two people maybe worth a laugh as a photo on the net looking for further gratification, not funny.
Damn it.
Over the past few months, I have written some really good stories, all for them to be rejected and yet this... this...?
No, I didn't even smile.
Nope. I just feel a little sad for Chris, who doesn't get to do the scratching. I love those tickets just because I like scratching them off. I've never bought one myself, but I've scratched other people's for them. If they had something like that with no potential for prizes, especially if it was reusable, I'd buy the shit out of it.
I thought it was funny cause I know a guy named Chris dating a girl named Nicole. And it's totally something they would do to eachother.
Looking at this dispassionately, it's actually a really interesting question. I've often wondered what the prevailing sense of humour is here as when I attempt it, at least half the people don't realise I'm joking. At one point, I even used a symbol for when I was joking or not, which defeats the purpose somewhat. You've made me want to post things about whether stuff is funny or not.
As for your question, I suppose it's mildly amusing. I do get the joke and it does work structurally as a joke (although what I found odd is that some people took it literally and seemed to get angry at the fictional Nicole).
However, using anonymity to level what seemed to be an insult to an IIN user based on nothing more than your own personal anthropomorphisation of fruit was deeply unfunny and really kind of ugly.
I laughed at the fact that 92 people thought it was funny. I mean it seems pretty messed up getting $25 dollars worth of lottery tickets and then only get $2 from them. If you know the prize was worth less than the ticket, why would you buy it? The thought of that makes me laugh, ahah.. I mean like around 100 people giggling at such a joke makes me smile :)
LOOL Being part Irish, I love sarcasm :')
This seems like a really sarcastic joke to me.
I thought to myself deeply "Why couldn't Nicole just have given Chris the $25 worth of lottery tickets? Why Nicole, why?", then realized again that its probably just a joke.
Some people are clearly easily amused....because this really isn't 'funny'
not really funny at all. if you are going to get lotto tickets, half the fun is scratching them off in anticipation, and the excitement when you see that you won. this is fake, gay, and a complete fail at being funny.
I tend to laugh at the most unusual things. For some reason I didn't laugh or even smile for that matter. Sorry, lol.
No, not even slightly. Didn't even make me smile. I don't see what's so funny about it. No offence, just not my cup of tea, I guess.
You know considering you are a banana I think you would be more lively. Yet every comment I read of yours seem to be bland and uncaring. When I think banana I think happy! You just seem bored.
Am I supposed to apologise for having a different sense of humour to you or something? It *didn't* amuse me in the slightest, I was just being honest. I'm sorry if that hurt your feelings, but it's hardly personal. I can't help what I find funny. I can't really change that you think I'm bland and uncaring either. I do care about things, and I am happy and lively, although clearly that doesn't come across on here. I was just giving my honest reaction, though. Sorry for being myself, I'll try to change for you.
HAHAHAHAHA!xD MY GOD! That is *so* funny. He got $2 for Christmas! Ha! She bought lottery tickets! And then scratched them off! Chortle chortle chortle. My oh my. It just doesn't get better than this, does it?!:D
How's that?;)
