Do you ever feel like your going to randomly faint?

Sometimes I feel like I'm going to just pass out at random times. Like when I'm in the shower - after about 10 minutes I get nauseous and my head starts to spin. Then my heart beats a bit too low for my liking, my breathing is labored, and I start seeing spots. Maybe this is because of my medical condition, but sometimes its not. Like whenever I'm sitting and I go to stand up, I feel the world spin and I immediately have to sit back down.

So, do this ever happen to you?

Yes, I feel that way sometimes whenever I go to stand too. 32

  • Only once, when I had to go get my blood tested. 5 vials of blood later, I only saw white and felt very weak, had to lay down in the car for 5 mins until it went away.

  • It sounds like you have POTS. It's a severe form of Orthostatic hypotension. You should get it checked out by the doctor.

I sometimes get this about two to three hours after eating chocolate or drinking caffeine. I get as close to fainting as it's possible to be without actually fainting. Good advice for both of us is to get it checked out.

    • Yours sounds more like it's related to hypoglycaemia. You should get that checked out too.

I have never had this. I would tell you to see a doctor, but everybody else seems to think that it's okay, so I'll reserve judgement but say "No".

  • OMG! That totally happened to me in the shower! It was weird. Kinda like the feeling when I donated blood but didn't drink enough water =/

I was going to vote yes on both accounts but there was no option. I get this, not often but it does happen. I have abnormally low blood pressure.
