It depends on what they are saying, who is saying it, and how they said it.

Nope. I actually like when people hate me, especially on this site ^_^ It makes me feel accomplished, lol.
I don't let it get to me, but sometimes a particular comment will hit me in the wrong place, and it's not so much the person but the context.
Likee, I think I was sharing my body mods on reddit. And someone commented a few times making all sorts of jokes about how I had been sexually abused as a child. I was molested by an older kid when I was young, and so that comment fucked with me a little.
But at the end of the day, they're just some asshole with a computer and anonymity.
I'm kind of neutral about it. It hurts to be insulted no matter what, but if the person who insulted me doesn't know me I try not to take it personally, because people like that probably don't like anybody.
If people hate me for the wrong reasons, I don't care.
If people hate me for the right reasons though, then I take it into account.
I don't really care what people think of me ever. Especially not on the internet, where there are lots of trolls and lifeless people who make other people feel bad just to get a cheap laugh..

Yes and no. I care in the fact that I know I can't say certain things, do certain things, and so on in the real world by experimenting with people online. Do I care if they attempt to insult me? Not in the sense of emotional caring, I won't get upset or insulted, but I will retaliate to progress how I react to people.

On certien things. Since certien things people in real life are too afraid to talk about. The internet is the only place you can speak your mind.

I care about what a few people on here say but not really a lot. Cyber-bullying is one of the stupidest forms of harassment, and I would feel just as stupid if I let a computer screen hurt my feelings.
I wouldn't be here if I didn't care at all. I think that if I discounted all the bad things people might say about me on the grounds that "they don't know the real me", I would have to discount the good things people say too because the same reasoning would apply. People say a lot of good things about me here, so I'll happily take the bad with the good :) I tend to avoid the sort of people who would say things to hurt me, both in "real life" and online. The internet is good for developing a thicker skin.

I care about being understood and if people misunderstand, I suppose I do notice. It depends who it is. If someone responds to a post of mine (as they do) and say: "Ugffj GTFO yo trying to b all intellexdual al the time but yo gay pansy ass limey" then I tend not to respect their tremendous intellect and insight into humanity.
