In the scientific sense, having sex with someone else can really speed up the process of getting over a previous partner but it is not necessary.
Hmm..not necessarily sex, I don't think. I was with my ex for three years and the last year and a half were awful but I just couldn't bare to leave him because of our son. Finally, my previous ex whom I was in love with came back into my life and I could easily leave my boyfriend at the time without looking back, because there was someone else. I guess I feared being alone.
I'll be honest, I don't even know what that means. "Get under someone"? Is that euphemism for sex which I am just naive about? Or does it just mean to fall for someone else, or find someone else to be with you?
In any case - no, I don't think it's required. Although I'm sure it's helpful to some people.
Not for me, no. Not for men in general, I don't think. Women seem to be more flexible and practical about their options but I think men (and obviously lots of women too) do struggle and there isn't a magic instant solution.
It happens that way quite often, but people can get over someone in other ways.
