Technically, yes; but it's not correct to say A CURE for cancer, it would be that there ARE THE CURES for cancer. Also, for the common cold, there could be, but the vaccine/nanobot(these would be the only conceivable options) would have a very complicated genetic structure or extremely difficult to produce enough to make a difference, respectively.

The common cold is a virus, virus's are always mutating into new forms so its impossible for a cure to be made.
If aomeone just encounters a version of the cold they've already had it wont effect them because their white blood cells will remember it from before and kill the virus before it takes hold.
Cancer is different, i'm not sure if it's scientifically classed as a virus but I believe there is a cure for it.

You can not cure the cold. They have so many different colds that you would have to find a cure for every single one. They did cure aids in babies though.

Jesus is my cure for every thing um and if you dont belive theres a god okay but doesn't mean it will hurt to prayer for a while and it will come to you that there is 0:-)

Each disease in turn will be wiped out because only two things can happen when you get sick...you will live or you will die...if you live you will build up some immunity to that disease and will pass that immunity on to your offspring..or you will die...so eventually only the people who have immunity will be alive and that is the end of that disease...

All the diseases that are really deadly are usually hard to catch...and all the diseases that are not deadly are very easy to catch...

Cancer is not really a specific disease and so looking for the cure is a waste of time...there will never be a "cure" for cancer...what we can try to do is prevent it...adopt those lifestyle attributes that bolster our immune systems and stay away from those things that will kill us

but there are cures for cancer, it's just they dont always work. and a cure for the common cold is kind of impossible with our current technology because colds are all caused from different viruses, so by the time you create a cure for one, you'll probably be infected with a diferent one

Your belief is so true. There is a hospital in Tijuana that has been known to save people permanently from cancer. One of their methods is Vitamin C. They pump their patients with serious amounts of Vitamin C and they've gotten positive results.
It's only in Tijuana because the hospital is illegal in the united states. The woman who started it all tried to have on here, but the government said her treatments were illegal. Tijuana has had many patients walk away from Cancer and lead healthy long lives.

You know what? I never thought of it that way, them hiding the cure.

I'll just put what little bit of faith I have left in mankind and say I don't think they're that cruel.

Common cold..... I'd say not anytime soon, but maybe in the future. Annnnnd cancer..? I think there will be a cure someday. I've thought of this myself too of ways they could make a vaccine, but that would be difficult, bc don't you take a little of that illness and put it in the vaccine to make you immune to it, but if you did that wouldn't the little bit of cancer just spread in stead of making you immune to it....?

No, for the common cold because there are too many different viruses that cause it, and for cancer because The Man/Big Brother/whatever doesn't want it made :(

There will never be a "cure" for cancer, or aids, or any of the big diseases. There's more money in treatment.The cold is constantly mutating into something else, and again, more money in treating colds.

I WISH THERE WAS A CURE FOR THE COMMON COLD!!! I'd pay big bucks for that! I'm always getting sick, and my colds last 3-4 weeks on average :( I am so miserable when sick. I just wanna kill myself to end the agony.

It's truly amazing... but sadly our stupid government wants him in jail. They'd rather kill people and torture them with chemo and radiation than use a natural substance to help and/or cure them.
