After being on this site and seeing how often people have homicidal thoughts it sure seems so.
I certainly hope so. We all think about punching a dolphin in the face and they think the same about us.
I like your options. I voted the third option just because I know many of us can be evil and I do believe it's all in our choices, but I also believe that other people have a greater recipe for disaster sometimes. I do think though that no one can become totally evil or totally good.
Everyone is capable of being evil. Check out the Stanford Prison Experiment. Basically 20 guys were brought together in a room. Half of them were selected to be prisoners and half of them were selected to be prison guards, both at random. After a while all the prisoners became depressed and submissive and all the prison guards became sadistic and cruel, even though at the beginning there was no difference in how they behaved. The lesson is that many times in life how you turn out does not depend on your personality or other internal characteristics as much as it does on your external circumstances and situations you find yourself in. Plenty of times people behave how they think society expects them to behave, in other words they assume stereotypical roles
The human animal is the most evil creature on this planet. Each of us is capable of the most indescribable evil, though I do believe some are born with a predilection towards evil and become so more easily than others.
"Everybody has got good and evil in them. I’d like to be 100% evil, but I can’t. I’m too easy-going sometimes"
