Do you believe people can hate you for no reason at all?

Or is there a reason? I feel like if someone hates you, hate is something that stems from somewhere. It doesn't just appear out of nowhere. There must be something you do or how you look that bothers them, right?

This girl at my work basically admitted she dislikes me but I only spoke to her once for 2 minutes and it was casual conversation about how long she's worked here, etc. I was polite, I didn't say anything wrong. All my coworkers tell me I'm nice, customers tell me I'm nice...I never get any complaints.

Why would she dislike me? I said "it's so nice out today" even though I hate sunny days but just wanted to start a little convo and she said, "yeah I guess". So then I said, "how's it going today?" and she said "fine" and RAISED her eyebrows in disgust and then walked away from me!

I don't understand and I don't think I'm ugly. I know my teeth are crooked so I barely smile but that's no reason to hate me, right? Most men flirt with me all the time anyway so I know I can't be ugly and she's not afraid of my face...it must be my teeth? What else could it be? That is so sad. This is why I never smile wide. :/

No, of course there's a reason 8

Oh honey, don't take it personally. She's just judgmental. To put it softly. Something you've done has bothered her, something about you, the way you make her feel or just what you represent and she could have very well made up her mind on you but why do you give a flying fuck?

Someone like that isn't worth pleasing.

I wouldn't know what caused her temperamental behaviour based on the information you've provided.

I always have positive thoughts about the people that dislike me, i show my nobility by not being affected and actually caring about them, being courteous, it makes me feel good and it's good karma. I hope you don't mimic her attitude towards you, just be forgiving.

There'll be a reason but it may not be a reasonable one if you get my meaning.

Maybe you remind her of someone who did her wrong; maybe she was just in a bad mood or not well; maybe she was preoccupied with some problem in her life ....... don't worry about it, if you know you didn't do anything wrong forget it, and especially forget about people not liking you because your teeth are crooked, that's really silly

People like that is what made up half of my fellow students in middle/high school. They just couldn't stand me. Maybe I was just too quiet

  • Jealousy is an ugly character trait.

Some people out there truely dislike other people for no reason at all. If there is a reason, it's usually something dumb like being jealous of that person's hair, seeing that person make a minor mistake, seeing someone else in that person, etc. Just treat her like you'd treat anyone else in your workplace and don't worry about it.
    :)
