I don't think it's really possible to make a universal rule like "opposites attract", just because everyone experiences attraction so differently.
Personally, I feel attracted to people with qualities I wish I had more of regardless of whether I have a lot of it or not. I look for the same things in other people that I look for in myself, and I work to embody the things that I care about. In that sense, opposites aren't attractive to me at all.
In terms of bodies; I'm attracted to a very wide range of bodies, some of which look not much like mine and others of which look a lot like mine.
Not complete opposites, no. 80% opposite yes. There has to be some common ground, however slight. That's my belief. In order for it to last, I mean.
I think opposite don't attract. But, personality differences can help provided that you learn how to make them work in your favor.
Yes, you can find a middle ground.
It's healthy to share different interests and points of view, you don't have to agree on everything to be in a functioning relationship. You learn more when you're with someone that pushes you to step outside of your comfort zone.
Opposite how? Most of the time, people look for what's like themselves, I think.
This question would have been better with examples as it's such a broad statement to make. Opposites I can think of are: Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy...but they aren't complete opposites.
I would hate my opposite probably as much as I would dislike somebody 100% like me. If there is no balance I don't believe there can be a good relationship.
I don't think that statement is always true.
Take crusades; he walks around with dicks in his mouth and he is a dick.
In this instance the two similar traits pull each other together.
No. I would much rather be wih someone like me. I wouldnt have as much in common with someone opposite.
How can two people who are completely different then the other possibility be in a HEALTHY relationship?
