Do you believe in seapeople?

I was watching a documentary, not too long ago, on the Discovery Channel in which they claimed to find the body of a mermaid. The documentary was fictional, but they went into depths of how evolution could allow merfolks to exist and how they would survive.

What do you think? Do you believe in people of the sea?

Don't be silly, we all know it's the crab people that exist.

  • Am I the only one who wonders how mermaids have sex? Does the male have a retractable penis? How do they poop? I see no holes...

That merman looks like if Leo DiCaprio went to the seaside house of a french artist and threw himself on the couch, posed and told him to paint him like one of his french women. Of course, the artist took him up on his offer. (After all, who could resist?) One thing lead to another as the night wore on... They talked about everything from fine french cheeses to acrylic paints. It was about 8 hours into the night when the french master exclaimed that he was finished. Since, it was so dark outside he realized that it wouldn't be safe for the attractive Leo to travel home by himself. So, he told him to stay the remainder of the night at his home. Leo thanked him and spent the night in the Frenchman's bed and the man decided to sleep on the couch. It was around 12pm when the two finally woke up. The maid was busting her ass in the kitchen and told them to go wait out on the verandah. At about 12:15pm the food was finally brought out and the two brunched.

I like to believe that there can be anything under the sea. Like the Universe, there's a whole ocean that is waiting to be discovered, and so many things we have yet to find. Who knows? maybe there could be merfolks under there. Maybe a megaladon my even still be roming around. I just think the ocean is an amazing thing, that it's so big and so much life wonders beneath it, and that we as man have been studying it so long and yet we still haven't disvovered all that it has to offer.

I believe it would be possible, if people lived in an aquatic state for x amount of time, would probably take quite a long while for true merpeople to evolve.

I saw a documentary about a mermaid too. She could go on dry land for a little while and when she spoke in her native high-pitched mermaid tongue all these televisions smashed. She was also very pretty. There was a bungling scientist trying to capture her. It was really informative.

I saw that too! And I was scared shitless.... that was nothing like The Little Mermaid!!!..... then after I watched it again (and the extended version) I saw the notice in the beginning saying it wasn't real... lol

    I'm reeeeaally gullible X(

But anyways...I wish it was possible but I don't think humans would have a reason to evolve with fins and/or a tail and gills etc.ect.ect..... but mermaids are still very fascinating and almost scary to imagine being a reality imo...

Aww that reminded me of the show about the mermaid girl. She was the sweetest little thing. She died right after her tenth birthday :'( very sad . I had the show on that you're talking about but I didn't actually get to watch it.

I don't believe they exist but I so wish they did! I have a slight obsession with mermaids.

It's impossible for the simple reason humans are not evolving anymore.

Humans are still evolving, it just happens so slow that you don't notice. We have gotten taller since the 1800's. We have gotten fatter since the 1990's.

No, there is no (perfectly) half animal or half 'fish' and half human. Its absolutely absurd (as an adult) to think this may be physically possible! It cannot be.

Btw I notice the bible also speaks of part animal and part human creatures. Now do you understand that it is not real, or should not be taken literally (at all)?
