Do you believe in ghosts?

For simplicity, the definition of ghosts is limited to wandering spirits in this world, and does not necessarily include anyone who goes into an afterlife.

Yes, the evidence overwhelmingly shows that they exist. 36

I think I can see them. I see people out of the corner of my eye but if I look up they are gone. They always look so alone, as if they are stuck here and cannot move on.

I also have this white cat following me about now. No one else can see her but I can see her as clear as day.

I've had quite a few paranormal experiences in my life ranging from childhood to adulthood. I never believed that you could actually "see" a ghost until about4-5 years ago I actually saw a ghost. I know, I wouldnt believe me either had I not seen it for myself. I was at my cousins house visiting. She went upstairs to go tend to something. Me being me, I decided to scare the crap out of her when she came back down. So I hid around the corner and waited for her. There is a closet door at the bottom of the stairs close to where I was standing. It has a shiny knob and if you look at it you can see the reflection of the entire room including the stairs. So I kept looking at the knob so I would see my cousin coming back down instead of getting caught trying to peak around the corner. After a minute or two, I saw a pale woman in a long white nightgown or dress (not really sure) walking across the living room. My eyes bugged out, and I turned to look into the living room and saw no one there. I looked back at the knob and she sort of glided from one end of the room to the other and then she disappeared. Till this day, I am still somewhat in denial. But I know it happened.

Ive seen a ghost when I was 11. I was a residential, and my friend wanted to go to the loo, but was too scared to do so, and I went with her. When we went back to our dorm, there was a figure behind the glass window, it had a pale face with no mouth or nore, and it had black holes where its eyes were. Its true aswell, my friend saw the exact same thing.

They say that when you feel cold air or energy that an entity is passing over you, and i've had that happen, plus I've seen one, exactly how a psychic on unsolved mysteries described it. He said he woke up and thought he saw a real person but as the fogginess of sleep wore off he saw a woman. This same thing happened to me but I saw a man. Damn it scared the shit outta me. I've also felt other similar things, like at night when I take my dogs out, like there is something weird outside, it kinda creeps me out.

Ghosts are visual and/or auditory hallucinations and imaginings, sometimes enhanced by settling foundations, mice, drafts, and the like.

Nope, sometimes i think we believe we see things but it's probably all in our minds or our eyes. Our mind can play tricks on us after all.

Spirits and ghosts are two different things. Spirits have crossed over but come back to visit sometimes. Ghosts never crossed over.

I don't, and yet I live with one. He terrorised me when I moved in here. We get along now, but I'd never light another candle in this place. Not after last time.

For once, I'm not. I have a bag of nearly 200 tea lights gathering dust because I'm too scared to light them.

My curiosity has been aroused...what happened when you lit the candles?

Lots of random noises, like the house was suddenly a submarine at very great depths and was cracking prior to imploding. Plus candles got "knocked off" surfaces without me or anyone else being within six feet of them.

It wasn't just me. Everyone noticed it. They used to ask me about "the ghost" when they rang me up. And if I talked about it, things would happen. It doesn't happen if I write about it here, though. I guess ghosts - if they exist - don't use the internet.
