Do you believe in 'be slim and eat fruits and be happy for all time!'?

There are SO many people saying things like that, but is it really like that way? because I, actually, don't eat fruits, not because I don't have them, but because I am not a 'fruit eater', I just don't really like fruits, maybe bananas and tomatoes, or BOTH! But eating an apple when waking up is not my style.

I see a fat man, I don't say nothing, I don't actually feel nothing about it, it's a human, so what? And probably some of you re saying: "Haha L O L XD this guy must be fat haha" - Well No, I don't know why, but I am ALWAYS slim, not skinny, slim, I can't eat much too, so I have this 'eat every 3hours diet', but only eating, a sandwich or something, I feel great! No fruits are in my life (besides some of them) and I am not fat, my mother was like this before, and she ate large cake styles =
I am not saying that we should eat at McDonalds's every day or so, but once a week I think is fine.

    • I meant something like: Eat lots of fruits to be strong and tall like your daddy :3 that's for kids, the more adult is 'have a good diet and don't eat too much sugar'. When I see an diet-thing program on TV they say you can do delicious things with fruits and they are so beautiful and healthy and Om nom nom, but when they ask somebody to choose between the two things: a banana-apple-salad and and a hamburger with extra cheese. I just don't believe the people choosing a simple salad, they just have it in their mind: Ooh, I on TV, I better look like an educated diet prorotype and pick up the apple. It's just fake. And there is not so many people that really do the things that they say on TV, I wanted to know if you agreed on hat I say, or something.

      • I thought it was veges? I personally think meat is the way to go! Fruits have natural sugar, so too much is bad. My older sister's boyfriends father would eat I don't know how many fruits in a day and he ended up gaining weight. It's all he ate too. Most people are going to take what's more simple to do and tastes better, so the banana-apple-salad is a no. If it was made for you, well that's a totally different thing.

    My son was born as a naturally healthy eater and it took me a while to find what he loves / hates. He loves fish, green veg, fruit, pasta, nuts, etc and hates McDonalds, cake, sweets, chocolate, etc. I always had to apologise for him at pals' birthday parties when he wouldn't eat their food.

    The Lord only knows where he came from!?

    I think to stay healthy we go back to basics and should eat meat and fruit / veg but not processed crap.

    Technically you can lose weight while eating junk food only... as long as you eat less than you expend in calories.

    So yes, eat what you want. just remember moderation

    I have IBS, and most fruit makes me bloated.
    Besides that, being happy is not possible, unless you have a happy life, as well as a happy diet.
    Also, much of my fat is water. So, no matter what do, my size is dictated by water retention.

    I eat at McDonalds once a year i eat candy every friday and ca1 1.5L cola a month i dont eat healthy or unhealthy i do go on walks my weight is as it have to be not to fat not to thin.

  • First of all, I like you OneMystery - I think you're funny. Made me laugh anyway. Secondly I guess I do like fruits, but seldom eat them. Once I went through a "healthy" stage and made smoothies every morning and I put on weight very quickly. I prefer bananas, grapes, blueberries and small oranges. I can't be bothered with anything else.

    However, I do love veg. Especially the ones you have roasted or boiled. Pumpkin, sweet potato and Broccilli. Om nom nom indeed!

    I would choose a fruit salad over a steak though, only because I can't digest it very well. It causes a lot of pain. But I'd take a chicken and roast veg meal over the fruit salad any day.

    Sorry for rambling on... I've just woken up!x

  • That's funny, the only fruits I like are tomatoes and bananas too, the rest I need to take in juice form. I'm not big on sweet stuff.

    Even eating too much fruit can upset your body; they're often very high in sugars and can overload the body as much as eating too many biscuits/cakes. What people need is a BALANCED diet, the occasional treat like McDonald's every now and again is fine. It's when you eat that stuff all the time, it fills your body with crap.

    • And I eat fruits -_- read it, I can't live without tomatoes, and cheese, and banana, and union, and cucumber... but I don't eat them as regular and with that appetite that with I eat a steak, cheeseburger or even an omelet.
      Just between us <_< I hate sugar, I hate apples because they are sweet too, I only eat one slice of a cake for 1 month, or only one chip for 2 months, what I meant was that people are always saying that fruits are better, but they aren't as tasty, some people are just obsessed with the idea: Oh My GOD! you ate two cheeseburgers and an ice-tea! ... a MONTH AGO!. And there are others that are trying to make fruits look DELICIOUS! And they are, some of them, but I don't see me holding pieces of apple, banana, cherry... potato on a stick and eating it like it was a steak. Well you get it.

      I am not fat, and I am not one of those video-gamers that eat chips wile playing, =P I have a somewhat balanced diet.
