Some people believe that a fetus is a person, some do not, and some believe that it becomes a person at a certain point in the pregnancy. If you believe it is a person, than I don't see how you can advocate what would be the murder of a living person. If you do not believe it is a person, I see no reason why you oppose abortion. It would just be a simple elective surgery at that point.

My personal opinion on the matter is that it is a person when it is able to survive on its own outside the womb. Up until that point it is a parasite and if someone wants to have a parasite removed from their body they should be allowed to. I don't mean parasite as a bad thing, I just mean the actual definition of parasite as in something that feeds off another living thing for survival.

Abortion is never okay. The only choice women should get to make is the choice to wait until marriage to have sex. If they don't want to do that, they must accept responsibility for the consequences of their actions.
This country has serious penalties against destroying an unborn eagle, yet encourages the destruction of an unborn human.
If someone accidentally causes harm to a woman which causes the baby to die in the womb(say a car accident) then it's man slaughter. Yet if the woman decides she wants to kill the baby herself, she can get people to fund it for her, and the whole process is legal.
It just doesn't make sense, why is it murder if someone else kills the "unborn baby," but it isn't when the woman decides to?

I think people need to butt out of others lives and let them live their own life. It is not our choice to make for these ladies. I personally could not have one but that doesn't mean I'm going to tell someone else to not get one. I can't stand when people want to create laws to control others lives. It is not our duty to tell others on how to live. And abortion is a very difficult choice to make! The biggest thing I don't understand is the idiots who blow up places like Planned Parenthood. It's like okay so you don't want these people to have abortions but your going to kill these people and the babies that they are carrying? Um, really now who is the baby killer?
Not to mention the Pro-lifers that show aborted baby pictures. Hello, those are full term abortions that are performed in other countries! Duh!

I honestly find abortion better than for the child than the parents being irresponsible for the child. I don't really like it, but also don't hate it. Even though fetuses are alive, they aren't fully developed. It may seem cruel to kill one but remember it's not a completed human being, it doesn't necessarily have an identity yet. Abortion can also be used for research to stop reproductive issues

I find it a sad that a life is being cut short before it has even started, but yes, in some cases, if the baby were to come out ill, or it birth threatens the life of the mother or child, or sometimes even both, or the mother simply can not care for it, then yes, abortion is acceptable. Thought if you just aborted your own baby because you didn't wanted it, I find that rather cruel. Im not sure how any mother wouldn't care for their own child (and yes, I do believe that a embryo is a human, or at least, has a soul, even before birth, they are alive, call me dumb or weird, but it is what I believe) , even if its not born yet. This is just my opinion.

It's fine. An embryo is not a human. One only becomes a human when expelled from the birth canal. Besides, the world is overpopulated anyway because people are having too many children.

I believe it completely depends on the situation. I certainly don't like the idea of abortion, but I realize it's necessary in certain cases.

While I don't believe in Darwin's theory of evolution, I do sometimes wonder if "survival of the fittest" would come into play and eventually eliminate abortion.

I believe that the desire to eliminate, butcher, murder your own offspring is a defect of the mind and the heart, and if everybody with that defect eliminates their offspring, then that defect will become a recessive trait and will die out.
The only people remaining will be those who value human life from beginning to end.
