People are saying the world is going to end on May 21,2011. I personally don't beleive it. What do you think?

'They' said the same thing about 1999, something to do with the 9's turning into 6's.
'They' said the same thing about the year 2000.
And finally 'They' said the same think about 2012.
At some point or another, you've gotta realize that 'they' can't tell the future.

Well, it's May 21, 2011 today and I'm still standing. So, I guess there's nothing to worry about for now.
Let's wait to see if December 2012 if a hoax too.

No, the world's not gonna end Saturday. Honestly, the 2012 theory has more of a fucking chance of being true because of all the background information that supports it. We, as humans, cannot predict when the world will end - only God can. And for all the people that don't believe in God, well, then nobody knows.
May 21, 2011 is just the beginning of judgment day, not when the world ends. The world will end 5 months later as said in Revalations 9:5, "And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man."
Thus the end of the world is October 21, 2011

I've never even heard of this. I looked it up, it seems the person predicting this also used his same system to predict the same thing back on Sept 6, 1994. Stupid.
It's going to be The Great Disappointment all over again.
But with magical thinking, those who believed in judgement day 2011 will find some way to justify their belief without admitting that they or anyone else was full of shit.
It could end on that day, yes. It's as likely as any other day. It's also as unlikely.
That's the day after my birthday so I wouldn't mind it! I'm getting old.
