What if one person is hallucinating or what if they both are? They may not even be visualizing the same things. What defines "real" and "reality" if the context of perception depends on the person?
You really need to clarify this a bit. If it's raining out, then it is raining for both of us and you can doubt it all you want, but if you take a walk with me, we will get equally wet.
If you are talking about beliefs, like is good real, then each of us has a view that may be far different to the other's.

I was thinking about it in terms of war and poverty. I know it exists, but it's not as real to me as it is for someone living in it.
