Do you agree with lesson “fighting is the answer to solve any problems.”?

Would a good teacher tell you that? That “Fighting solves anything.”???

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

It depends on what you mean by fighting. If you mean physical violence I’d say no it doesn’t solve anything. If you mean fighting for what’s right and what you believe in none violently then I’d say it’s been show to work historically.

Fighting does solve things. If someone is being violent towards you, you have the right to defend yourself. I don't think it is right for teachers to claim that violence doesn't solve anything. I was bullied in school and it didn't stop until I decided to stand up for myself. I think a good teacher should tell there students to stand up for themselves.

I *am* a teacher and I would never say that... :/ (and I like to think I am a good one)

Has any of yours said it???

One did. He was like a “Boxing/Karate” teacher I had. Taught me some self defense and stuff. Always said “Strike First and do not show them mercy.”

It's not self defense if he taught to "strike first."

Think he was referring to like if you were fighting in a real competition. Like say a City Tournament or a real karate event. He wasn’t saying just go to random people on the street and throw the first strike??

Oh, that's not even close to what I teach. But I still find it a little disturbing that a teacher would say that. In that context then I doesn't sound so strange, though.
