Do you acknowledge the existence of jesus?

This is the stupidest debate. Jesus the person absolutely did exist. Whether or not you believe in his divinity is a totally separate issue

The debate would make more sense if the options were like:

Yes, he was a real person but not divine

No, he never walked on earth.

Yes, he was a real person and divine.

Yes, he walked on earth, he was divine, but not the son of God (the only conflict in belief Muslims have with Christians)

My answer is the fourth answer

The evidence is overwhelming that he existed. Even the Jewish people have never questioned his existence.

What he represents is a totally different question, and a subject of much debate.

I believe he was a real person.

Jesus was actually quite problematic. You need to read critical race theory and educate yourself.

I guess the bottom line is that I just don’t care and it really doesn’t matter.

Jesus was a real flesh, and blood person who walked on this Earth, and I also believe that he was, and still is the Messiah!

Yes, I believe Yeshua of Nazareth, or Jesus, existed. That is a separate questions to whether he is divine or whether he performed any miracles.

I do also consider myself a follower of Christ and a Quaker. But I do not speak for all Quakers, and I am also nontrinitarian (or semi-trinitarian, my interpretation is different) which puts me at odds with other Christians.

But to my knowledge I believe he had people writing within 50 years of his death about what had occurred. If you think about it, Jesus was a commoner. It wasn't like he was a prince who would show up in history otherwise.

Even if Jesus Christ flew through my roof and told me Heaven was real and I needed to repent I would still not be a Christian. I refuse to follow the Christian god.

Why would I worship someone who sends people to suffer for all eternity just because they don't believe he's real? Why would I worship someone who purposefully and knowingly sent all of his creations to a planet where they'll suffer from things like rape, abuse, poverty, and so much more? I don't care if I'm sent to hell, I will never love a god like that.

Now for his miracles and teachings all I can say is that those lessons were good. Helped people kick the habit of slavery... eventually. Because theres no pragmatic reason to end slavery. It's just moral to accept every human life as being an equal.

You can be moral but not religious. I carry myself as such.

I'm hedging my bets on the identity of god. Playing by the golden rule and cross my fingers that heaven or reincarnation await when I die.

For the religious aspect of jesus? I'd say there was too much use of lead as cooking and drinking vessels. But for all the religions that came out of the middle east. Christianity is the better one.
