Do women who dye their hair "crazy" colors look trashy?

I was just wondering because my co-workers consider women who dye their hair pink, green, purple, orange, yellow, or blue trashy.

    I think vibrantly and boldly expressing yourself is cool, and the confidence of it is an attractive personality trait. Even more so if other people don't like it and call it "trashy". Watered-down, passive femininity is the least attractive kind to me.

      Hooray! Someone that actually gets the point of someone dying their hair that color. For some reason I expected everyone to say it's trashy.

    Colored hair can be part of some "trashy" looking styles, but I don't consider bright hair colors on their own to be trashy.

    It's usually associated with drugs and multiple piercings. But really I think it's cool. I wanna dye my hair purple.

      I've been sporting purple hair since 2008. It's an awesome color. Though it washes out pretty quick.

    Right now my hair colour is white and purple, but I wouldn't consider myself or the way I look to be 'trashy'

    The color itself doesn't make them look "trashy", to me it goes along with how they are put together in other ways, personality and such, that would determine whether or not they are trashy

    Whether it be the hair, the piercings, the tattoos or whatnot, the punk look is so aesthetically repulsive to me that I can hardly believe that it actually appeals to some people.

      Some people don't dye their hair just to look like a wannabe rocker. Sometimes they genuinely like that color.

    It depends on the person. I've seen people who REALLY don't know how to pull it off and they look awful but then there are the others who look absolutely stunning.

    I can't agree to that. Take Ke$ha for instance, she looked way trashier when she wore no bold hair color. Now at least she looks cleaner... lol!

    It depends if it's well dyed or not. If the colour is evenly distributed without big roots showing it can look amazing.

        I used to have pink dip dye, it works if their hair is blonde enough underneath the dye and not all disgusting and damaged. It also doesn't work when they only leave about 5 inches un-dyed, making it look like they've just let their roots grow out.
