They say for girls that romantic things are having rose petals in the bath tub. Scented candles and baby oil? Does that stuff really turn you on? Things like a man on a white horse with abs and long flowing hair is another one.

The smell is too strong, even when they're not lit. It hurts to walk past them in the stores.
What I don't understand is the logic of it. If you have candles all around the tub how do you get in? I mean you are butt naked and you are suppose to do some gymnastics into the tub attempting to miss lit hot wax candles. How does that work? Plus if you have petals from the flowers cant they lite on fire?
I had scented candles before. They never smelled that strong. My dad use to get them. Are they really so terrible?
Not for me. The stereotypes are to fake. I like a man who smells good, will protect me, appreciates me. Doing the little things is what I find most romantic. It just shows you care. I don't particularily like flowers as a gift, but if my bf got me a rose, I would be so happy because it means he thought of me. It's far more romantic to me than some guy on a white horse lol Even if I came home and he did the dishes, cleaned up the place and ran me a bath ^.^ I think it's just the sweetest.
I don't think all girls are the same. We all get turned on differently than others.
I like certain scents. Like some colognes can turn me on. The smell of flowers, can be a very pleasing scent, but usually isn't what makes me horny. Some candles smell nice too, but wouldn't be getting me all hot and ready.
I agree with bananaface. People don't have to go all out, being all 'dramatic' to be romantic. Rose petals in the bath tub is sweet, but a little much. And a guy on a white horse showing his abs..., thats just ridiculously cheesy.
I believed so too but they do it in all the sex novels and movies. I was wondering if there was any truth to this or if they are really off base.
Get to know the girl first before throwing any dramatic surprises. Too much could freak her out. But its easier when you know her well enough, to find out what type of girl she really is. If she's into the simple things or extravagant things...
Try not to listen to the novels and movies. They do a lot of things in novels and movies, but not all of it is right.
The bathtub one is kinda romantic but I have other thing that turn me on such as uniforms (especially nazi ones) or BDSM. But that's not romantic.
Hahahahaha! That thing with the guy on the horse is cracking me up! Um, no. It just seems so fake. I don't think people have to be so ridiculously dramatic to be romantic. Although, it amuses me very much!:P
Do not believe what they tell you in romantic comdies, romance novels, or forums on "how to get the girl". They will only lead you down a road to devestation.
The guy on the white horse remind me of Legolas.
Walking while holding hands in public is romantic to me.
