The wall's not going to do much at all about crime. Poor people looking for jobs to feed themselves and their families come across the border, not bad hombres.

Of course we don't need a wall. Of course it won't reduce crime. Everybody with a lick of common sense knows that. All it's going to do is raise your taxes...and I'm not just talking about the one time cost to build it, it's going to cost billions every year to secure and maintain it. And, on the off chance that it actually succeeds at keeping anybody out, it's going to cost the country billions in taxes - contrary to popular belief, most undocumented workers still pay taxes, but they don't file a tax return so they don't get any money back on tax day, or take any out through social security or medicare or unemployment or any other government assistance. Of course, we don't really have to worry about that, since almost no undocumented workers illegally walk across the border...they come here legally on visas and just don't leave. In fact, more undocumented workers leave the country over the open borders than come here, so building the wall will INCREASE the number of undocumented workers here. Fun fact. None of this even touches on the difficulties of physically constructing the wall - getting around all of the environmental protection laws, seizing private property from thousands of ranchers, and figuring out how to put up walls on such rough terrain. Any time and cost estimates you read will be laughably wrong by the time it's all said and done. There's a reason Bush put the fence where he did and left the rest the border alone.

TL;DR it'll take forever, it'll cost a ton, and it won't accomplish a damn thing.

It's increased border security. What's not to want? Immigrants can use the various entrances to get in legally, like any normal person would. Obviously people who really want to get over will - that's not the point.

People who think walls don't work are beyond stupid. It's like saying a bucket doesn't work. Illegal migrants are committing a crime, and it does harm America. They shouldn't be in the country, and when 80 percent of illegal migrant women get raped by their male counterparts on their journey I don't think it's racist to point out. The wall's not going to do much except cause more trouble for the governments, a perfect example is the "Berlin Wall" back then. We already have enough American born drug lords, etc as it is. This is going to do nothing to reduce that since they could find many more ways to transport their products across the border between America and Mexico. I think that the Border Security should really focus on stopping lone wolf terrorist attacks from taking place in the future.

The wall gives us "crowd control". Border security will be able to do a better job with fewer people.

Why stop there though? Why not build 4 walls. And a roof. And a nice indoor swimming pool

It will make some jobs until it is finished, however, where there's a will, there's a way!

Well; the "Snowflakes" can whine and moan about the wall ... BUT; the wall WILL have security like nothing else .... and it will help stop about 40 -50% of our ILLEGAL Drug trade and the ILLEGAL immigrants who try to sneak into this country ....

He is also beefing up air traffic and the waterways which is estimated to stop another 20% or so ....

Thus; this WALL should be a damm good thing ....
