If you like when people hurt you, is it moral to hurt others since you are showing empathy from your frame of reference?
If you are attempting to understand scripture the verse is Matthew 7:12.
"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you:do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets"
I mean, if you want continued hurt, by all means continue with your misinterpretation.
If however you'd rather be treated well, then treat others well regardless.
Come on, you know what is meant by that phrase. Do what you know the other person would want done to them! The only reason they mention what you would want done to you is to give you a good general rule of thumb, not so that you could take it completely literal so as to exploit a loophole in it.
I don't understand what you mean by 'showing empathy from your frame of reference' but there's nothing moral if they don't give you permission to do so in the first place.
