Every so often when I go outside, for some reason the natural landscape, the sky, clouds, moon or sunset etc looks more like an oil painting instead of "real"!! Does this happen to you too sometimes?

Yes. When I go onto my front porch there is a very large view of the valley, and the mountains across from me and the landscape below just looks like a painting on a picture.
Happens to me every time
There are mountains where I live. Depending on how the sun is hitting them or lack of light, YES, they can look fake.
Yes. One time, I sailed out across the sea to escape the town I grew up in, only to bump into the edge!
Turned out it was all an elaborate reality television show.
I remember one time we have some really weird weather and half the sky was one colour and the other side was another. You could see where the colouring in the sky was split down the middle and it had the weirdest clouds I have ever seen. It was not a hurricane or anything but we did have a storm. It looked really amazing.
It all looks so real... I think it might be because it's ...real XD
I get what you mean though, I've looked at many paintings and pictures of nature so I can see where you're coming from.
one time i was in my buddys ~1994 chevy blazer. it was a little suv with a digital dash.. all of a sudden everything seemed like we wered scaled down and 'robot chicken' like, if that makes sence...

I love being in the countryside during July/August if it is a clear night and a full moon. I have seen the most magnificent 'harvest' moons, huge, orange and low on the horizon. I think this is where the term a gibbous moon comes from, when the moon appears to be almost bulging.
