I'm about to step out to dinner with some people I like but hardly know. After dinner I've been invited to a small Christmas Eve party with some more people I hardly know. I'm going because I find it unbearable to be alone on Christmas Eve. Is this normal? During the year I'm usually a guy who keeps to himself, with very few friends. And I am content to be this way. I have female "friends" and have sex once, maybe twice a month. Again I'm content with that. Christmas makes me feel lonely. So I fill this time with people. How about you? If you are reading this now I think you can relate to what I am saying. So merry Christmas to you. And may God bless.

    I can relate. I had a very long, depressing period and I understand exactly how you feel. At least you are making the effort; there were years I didn't even bother.
