Do 2nd world countries exist?

I mean, we got first-world countries and third-world countries so do second-world countries exist as well? Or are they just-better-off 3rd world countries or less-good first world countries? If yes, please give me some examples of 2nd world countries.

Yep, this. There's also a "Fourth World" of people who live outside the realm of globalisation and industrialisation, or who don't have citizenship of any country.

"First/second/third world" are all cold war terms. Geographers use politically correct phrases like "more economically developed country (MEDC)" and "less economically developed country (LEDC)".

Oooh, I didn't know there was "fourth world".

When I was at school, the 'correct' terms were developed and developing countries. Guess that's changed, again.

To my knowledge those are the current "correct" terms as the other terms have fallen out of usage.

I always wondered about this myself. We never talk about second world country or what that means. I have heard fourth world a few times.

I think the human geography term has officially changed from first, second, and third-world countries to more developed countries (MDCs) and less developed countries (LDCs).
