Do most girls want bad boys?

Often the reason women date scum bags is the woman thinks she is going to clean him up, make him into some kind of civilized gentleman etc.

They see it as a "project" of sorts.

Problem is, seldom do men change. Plus if she gets pregnant, he is not usually going to stick around so her life and future chances of finding a partner are now ruined.

Not really. Young and inexperienced girls maybe because they're insecure and don't realize that you can find excitement in other ways. Just like men often pick bad girls although that is not as greatly discussed because as usual only women get shit on over poor decisions.
Most women want a kind, caring man who's not a pushover which is pretty much the regular decent guy.
And normal people certainly don't wanna date criminals, I don't know in what kind of a neighbourhood you live in to even think so.

It really depends on the girl, but some girls (more typically young ones who are generally pretty naïve about life) have a fantasy of taming a bad boy and think they can change a guy like this, or be the "different" or "special" one in his life he doesn't treat like shit. Of course, they usually end up heartbroken.

I've also noticed that people tend to gravitate to people whose acceptance they feel they have to earn. Think about it; people are often more likely to treat those who they know love them, are there for them, and who they don't have to impress with disrespect (especially taking advantage of them) or at least be less considerate of them than they are towards people who will ditch their asses in a heartbeat once they no longer have any use for them. There's something about human nature that, I guess, craves acceptance from people it's hard to earn it from, or likes the challenge of it.

For me, I have no use for that crap. I'm happily single anyway and am not sure I'll be looking for a relationship at least anytime soon, but I definitely don't want a "bad boy" thug.

I like the “bad ass” type, not “bad boy”. Badass imo, is someone who can pull off being a nerd during the day, but tasteful Dom at night.

Partying drugs and drinking are awesome but crime is also awesome. Especially when mixed with drugs and drinking. Start with small crimes so you get better at it, and you'll get all the fun girls.

Ye man. I think they don't really necessarily want you to go out and punch dudes, but they want to know you're capable of it. They don't really want the male-feminist "nice guys" who think they're doing everything right by simping it. Just don't be like that kind of dude; have some balls, show you've got them, and you should be fine.

Be bad. But should still be a gentleman.
