I am 56 yo woman who is losing my hair and I don't feel attractive. Should I get a wig or will people think I look strange?
I think a wig would be far more attractive than a bald woman, no offense.
My mother is friends with a woman about the same age who has the same problem. She was getting so upset over losing her hair over the last few years. She has been wearing a wig for about a month now and I think it looks great. She looks years younger now too. She's married and her husband has no problem with it of course.
That aside, I wouldn't worry about what other people think about it. If its a good wig you can't really tell anyway.
Not weird at all.
So long as they don't become something you absolutely NEED to wear every time you leave the house (read: imprisoning), then I don't think there's an issue in making yourself feel a little better when the occasion calls for it.
Be careful of projecting your entire self-worth onto how your hair looks though. You have many more amazing qualities than just your looks, I'm sure.
