Do long distance relationships work?

I personaly have never had one, but I'm going to leave my current country so me and my boy friend have to soon decide we have been together for a year.
what you think of long distance relationships and can they work?

    I've been in them. They wouldn't work forever but they can work if they're not always going to be long-distance.

    they could work if there's a definite time you'll live near each other in the future . otherwise I don't see any point to it .

    I've been in several long distance relationships, two with people from out of state, one with someone across my state and one with someone overseas. It is difficult, having to be apart for long periods of time but some people can make it work, though I don't think it would work indefinitely. For a few years perhaps, but if things were still serious that distance gap would need to eventually be brideged.

    I know ancedote doesn't count for much but out of all the long distance relationships I've been in, the distance wasn't a factor in any of them ending.

    I personaly dont think so. But I guess it depends on the person. I couldnt use my hand while in a ¨relationship¨ cause i love sex too much and it also helps the relation between you and the guy alot.
